From Your Corner to the Rooftop

To be successful on any mission, you need to know what the end goal is.

If you are not adequately carried along, you will feel undervalued or unvalued. The onus lies on you as part of the team to not wait to be informed, but to embrace your role by taking ownership of your responsibility as a valued member of the team.

If you see yourself as without value, you are most likely going to be projecting low self-esteem. Understanding that once employed in a position, the responsibility lies with you to ask all the questions that will make your job easier for you to take full accountability.

Recognition is a two way street like most things in life. You recognize you are valuable and you continuously add value in line with the required scope of engagement by going above requirement to add your outstanding touch.

What stands you out in a crowd is what is easily recognized.

One of John Maxwell's leadership principles talks about "The law of the big picture". It encourages us to be aware of what the long term goal of the organization is, then can you start to see how your role is important in playing out the full game from your corner to the rooftop.
